This classic 1967 film follows the story of a young interracial couple who must confront and overcome their parents’ prejudices. The movie received widespread critical acclaim for its thought-provoking themes and powerful performances. “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” explores themes of interracial marriage and societal attitudes during a time when such relationships were controversial.

The movie was directed by Stanley Kramer and features an all-star cast, including Sidney Poitier, Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy (in his final role), and Katharine Houghton. The film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and earned a Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscar for Hepburn. The film's Oscar-nominated score was composed by Frank De Vol. In 2017, on its 50th anniversary, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
